SENSEI MARK ANTHONY DAVIS
Mr. Davis, 6th Degree Black Belt Master Instructor, holds rank in three
styles of both modern and traditional Martial Arts, and is a nationally certified personal trainer, with expertise in body wellness, anatomy, and Integrative Nutrition. Mark Anthony is also a certified movie stuntman and stage actor.
His professional experience covers a generous panorama of both private and public sector enterprise. From elementary and secondary education, to operations management and educational leadership, to professional athletics, Mark Davis has a truly collective wisdom......and a natural tendency to nurture and grow those around him.
Mark Anthony Davis began his local Martial Arts training under Master Sang Koo Kang and earned his 1st Black Belt under 9th Degree Master John Cozatt. He continued his karate training under Sifu David Montgomery, Combat Martial Arts under Master Ron Tramantano and 10th Degree Hanshi Al Caputo. Mark Anthony is also a student of Jeet Kune Do, Qigong, and Sport Karate, and is skilled in Point Fighting, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Hapkido, and Tournament Competition Martial Arts.
Mark is also a certified personal trainer with Fitness Together. His expertise covers a very broad spectrum, including integrative nutrition, body wellness, weight control, muscle building, aerobic and cardio training, bootcamp workouts, professional athletic competition, and elite-level fitness coaching. Sensei Mark is certified in Life Saving, Adult and Pediatric First Aid, Blood Pathogens, CPR, and AED.
Sensei Mark is currently a student of Master Su Kim, and is mentored by Sensei Glen Melman, and Shihan Andy Horne of Belle, Florida. Mark Anthony was recently awarded his 6th Degree Black Belt under GrandMaster Carl Stone, at the Martial Arts Action Magazine Hall of Fame Banquet
in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
Mr. Davis is also a member of the Florida Cosmopolitan Hall of Fame winning both Instructor and Master of the Year. His team, Team Immortal, also won the Team Award at the Battle of Florida in 2006. Sensei Mark is the son of U.S. Naval veteran Thelmus Davis Jr, nephew of Grandmaster Joseph Senna, of Northport, Fl, and the grandson of prominent jazz saxophonist Jimmy Lomba.
Mark's dad Thelmus, and Mr. Senna, a 10th Degree Black Belt in Ranchi Wa, have both been an inspiration to Mark since he was a young boy.
In addition to Competition Karate and Self-Defense, he also owns and drives the
#00 U.S. Army dirt track race car. Mark, driving for Patriot Racing, is the defending champion in the CarWars DemoDerby at the Monster Truck Jam at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida. Mark Anthony is a certified movie stuntman, with expertise in stage combat, motorcycle and car stunts, high falls, and fire stunts. Mark (stage name Tony), has also performed onstage with the Florida Grand Opera, appearing in Pagliacci, Samson et Delilah, Salome, Faust, Tosca, Rigoletto and Carmen. He has most recently performed as Pu-Tin-Pao inTurandot and the Dragon in The Magic Flute.
A standout athlete in high school and college, Mark Davis was a State Champion in Track and Field, and soon after played wide receiver for the Connecticut Sea Raiders, and has also worked with the
Miami Dolphins of the National Football League.
Mark is also a State of Florida licensed Real Estate professional.
